Origin and history

The citrus limonum, a lemon tree, native to India or China, was cultivated in the 10th century BC. In some traditions, the peel of the fruit was burned during the period of great plague. In India, it is offered as a necklace to deities.

Allergenic molecules are naturally present in this essential oil: Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

Certain natural compounds contained in this essential oil may pose an allergy risk in some people. To measure your tolerance, always do a test application in the crease of the elbow before using in your mixtures.

Suggested Use:


Add a few drops in your diffuser or a bowl of hot water. For all other uses,
mix a few drops with a carrier oil (like olive, jojoba, almond, coconut oil) or with shampoo, hand soap, etc. Please consult a qualified aromatherapist or essential oil book for dilution ratios.

Indications

With its very sweet and soothing scent, organic exotic verbena essential oil will put an end to your insomnia.

It is also indicated for anxieties, nervous breakdowns, rheumatism, tendonitis, mycosis, and acne.

Modes of use

Consult a physician before any therapeutic use or oral treatment.
Lemon essential oil is photosensitizing, do not apply it to the skin before sun exposure.

Oral route: 2 drops of essential oil of organic lemon, 3 times a day to be taken with a little honey, syrup or on a lozenge, in case of digestive infection or cold.

On the skin: Anti-Cellulite: Mix 2 ml of organic lemon essential oil + 2 ml of organic cypress essential oil + 1 ml of organic niaouli essential oil + 100 ml of organic hazelnut vegetable oil.

In diffusion: In atmospheric diffusion, the essential oil of lemon will be effective during periods of contagious diseases, to clean up your rooms. It helps to focus on yourself.

Precaution for use

Flammable. Oral use on medical advice. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 and pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Do not apply to the skin before sun exposure. Food use is possible. Do not use pure on the skin.

 

Pure essential oils are potent! Use with care.

Not for internal or topical use at this strength. Never use undiluted. Keep out of reach of children. May irritate skin. Dilute properly. If pregnant, nursing, suffering from any medical condition, or taking medication, consult a health care practitioner before use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Store in a cool, dark place. Keep away from naked flame.

Phototoxic. Skin must not be exposed to sunlight or sunbed within 12 hours after application.

May cause skin sensitization. Old or oxidized oils should be avoided.
