What Is Rosehip Oil Good For?

What Is Rosehip Oil Good For?

Rosehip oil is great for the skin. It is rich in fatty acids and this includes linoleic acid and it is also rich in omega 3 as well. It naturally contains Vitamins A, C, and E (thanks Mother Nature!). You can apply rosehip oil to cracked skin to nourish it and it is also great if you want to rehydrate your skin. Rosehip oil also helps to speed up skin healing.

Moisturising winter-dry skin

Rosehip oil has a very high fatty acid content. This means that it is great for rehydrating your skin! To stop your skin from drying out, mist some rosewater on your face, then apply a few drops of rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is also perfect for winter-dry skin. This is what I used on my babies too during winter.

Soothe sunburns

Mist some chamomile or lavender water, gently pat to the skin until it it absorbed. Then apply a few drops of rosehip seed oil. This is ideal for the summer and it is also great if you want to try and prevent flaking skin from sunburn! Remember to use sunscreen!

Glowing skin when you wake up

So many celebrities use rosehip seed oil to get that glowing skin (it's their secret). They use it as a night serum! After cleansing and toning, apply a few drops of rosehip seed oil, followed by your favorite moisturiser. Get enough sleep. And you'll wake up with celebrity-like glowing skin!

Scars and stretch marks treatment

If you have stretch marks then it is a good idea for you to apply pure rosehip oil to the skin. This also works for burn marks, scars and even hyper-pigmentation as well. The skin nourishing properties of rosehip oil make it the best choice if you want to speed up the healing process.

Get that baby soft hands and feet

Often, our hands and feet are rough and we all want that baby soft skin texture. Apply rosehip seed oil on your hands and feet every night. I actually got this tip from men who bought rosehip oil from us.

Dandruff and cradle cap

Rosehip oil has been proven to help with any dandruff that you have and it can also help with a range of scalp conditions as well. All you have to do is massage the skin with pure rosehip oil. When you have done this, simply leave it in for around half an hour and then use normal shampoo. You would be surprised at the difference it makes. For cradle cap, apply a few drops directly to the affected area until it is absorbed.

Curing brittle nails

Rosehip oil can hydrate your brittle nails and it can also help you to keep your nails stronger and even healthier as well. All you have to do is massage it into your nails every night for one week. It is a good idea for you to do this before you go to sleep because it means that the oil is less likely to be washed off during the day.

Premature aging

If you want to try and do everything you can to combat the effects of premature aging then rosehip oil can certainly help you with that. Using your ring finger, dab a drop of rosehip oil around your eyes and anywhere you start to see wrinkles. You really would be surprised at the difference that it makes and it is a great way for you to make the most out of the oil that you have. It is also a great way for you to save money on a ton of anti-aging products as well!

Revitalising Dull Hair

If you want to rejuvenate your hair and bring some shine to your locks then rosehip oil is ideal. All you have to do is take some rosehip oil and warm it up slightly. When you have done this, you then need to massage it into your hair before you wash it. This is great if you want to add some shine to your roots and it is rich in a ton of vitamins as well so if you want to add silkiness back to your lifeless hair then rosehip oil is certainly the way to go.

What to look for when buying rosehip oil and how to store.

Rosehip seed oil has a nutty smell and its color is between light orange to dark orange. It's a thin oil. Ideally packed in amber glass bottles. Store in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight. Read the ingredients list - it should mention only rosehip seed oil, nothing else.
