4 Ways to Keep Cool and Stay Cool

You may have heard by now, but the best way for you to stay protected when you are out in the sun is for you to wear a long-sleeved top, a hat, and some sunglasses. You may also want to consider some high factor sunscreen as well. The problem is, what do you do if you are already doing all of this and still getting too hot? How do you cool down? Take a look below to find out everything you need to know!
Plan out your day

Plan out Your Day

The first thing that you need to do is plan out your entire day. Sure, you may know the location that you are visiting, and you may also know the amenities that are there as well. The main issue here is that you also need to find somewhere you can spend some time inside that will let your skin a break from the harsh rays. A nice museum trip is great ideas because you can spend some time inside without being bored or waiting to get outside again. You should also find some shady areas that you can go to if you do happen to get too warm out in the heat.

Oil Blends

Another thing that you can do is use essential oils if you happen to have a sunburn. All you have to do is take some rosehip oil and rub it onto the skin. This will help to heal your skin and it will also help you to defend against even more damage. You can say goodbye to sunburn lasting for days on end because this oil is great at speeding up the healing process. It’s a good idea for you to take some of this with you when you go out, so if you do start to feel the burn, you can easily apply it to the skin so you don’t have to worry about those dreaded blisters.

Watch Out for the Signs of Heat Stroke

If you are out in the sun too much, then there is a high chance that you could end up developing heat stroke. One thing that you can do here is to try and spend some time in the shade, while you recover. Signs of heat illness or heat stroke include feeling nauseous, dizzy, overheated, unable to concentrate and more. If you do experience signs like this, immediately sit down and have a drink of water. It’s important that you avoid things like coffee in this instance because this could dehydrate you even more. You may also want to get a wet towel and put that over your head, as this can give you the rapid cooling you need to really stay safe.
Wear Cotton Shirt

Always Wear Cotton

A lot of people believe that silk is the best way to go when the weather creeps up in temperature. This is not the case at all, and it is something that you should avoid at all times. When you are choosing your clothing, try and wear cotton t-shirts and shorts. You also want to make sure that you opt for very light colors as well. If you wear colors that are too dark, then this will make you overheat even more and that really is something that you will want to avoid.
So, there are plenty of ways for you to stay safe when the heat gets too much and by taking the appropriate steps, you can be sure to get the best result out of your vacation or even your day out in general.
