The first step to removing and killing moulds is to check for the presence of moulds.
Mould can be black, yellow or white in color and has a pungent musty odour. Note that moulds are mostly found where there is moisture, so bathrooms and kitchens are common areas for mould growth.
Mould can also grow in areas with inadequate air flow and high humidity. In that case, you should also check in closets, wardrobes or storage areas.
Another area to watch out for is any room where there is an air conditioner. If you notice a musty odour when you start up your AC, then it has become a breeding ground for moulds. And your AC is spreading it to your room and in the air you breathe!!
