If you have kids who are incredibly active, then you will know how much they enjoy summer. You may find it hard to keep them indoors that you want to keep them on your sight. The main thing that you must remember here is that allergies are at their worst during the summer and this is because of the pollen, freshly cut grass and other triggers. If your kids are active and they have allergies then this can be a bad combination, but luckily, there are things that you can do to try and stop all of this.

Essential Oils

If your kids are experiencing prickly heat rash then there is a solution to this, and the best of it is, it’s all natural! If you want to treat the rash, then get a container and put 50g of corn starch and then 20 drops of peppermint oil. When you have done this, mix it up well. You then need to mix in 40 drops of lavender oil. Mix it again, and this will give you an easy to apply solution. This can be s-sprinkled on the affected area and it will help to provide your kids with instant relief. You really won’t have to worry about it getting worse and this is far better than over the counter treatments.

Don’t Open the Windows

Sure, it’s the middle of summer and you want to open the windows. This is completely normal, but if your kids have allergies then you will want to keep the windows closed. The main reason for this is because it will let more pollutants into the home, and this can make the whole situation even worse. You may even want to get a Gelair Health-e Split installed, as this will help to stop allergens from spreading throughout the home. It’s also worth getting your air conditioning unit cleaned out, because if this is filthy then pollutants will make your kid’s allergies worse and it can even spread them to every room in the house as well.

If your child’s allergies are bad, then it may be worth you are giving them an anti-allergy tablet before they go out. A lot of people wait until their allergies kick in before they take something like this, but the problem is that you are then treating the problem after it has already had an effect. If you want to avoid all of this, prevent the allergies from coming on in the first place by giving your child a tablet before they go. Make sure to consult your child's pediatrician before giving any medication.

Avoid Fields

If your child enjoys playing football, try and take them to a concrete car park or somewhere else similar. The reason for this is because football fields are breeding grounds for allergens and they can have a serious impact on your child’s health. You may also want to take them to play basketball instead of cricket, as this is based on a tarmac court which will not be as likely to trigger your child’s allergies.

So as you can see, there are things that you can do to really help your child and you’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to give them the support that they need without having to worry every step of the way. At the end of the day, you can’t stop allergies and you can’t take them away, but you can do everything you can to try and make sure that they don’t impact your child’s life as much and you can also make sure that your child is as comfortable as possible during the summer period.
