HoPE Dangerous Essential Oils You Should Use With Caution

Essential oils are becoming more and more popular than ever before, and there is a very good reason for it. They are ideal if you want to undergo therapy and they also have a huge amount of benefits to offer. The main thing that you have to note is that it is possible for you to over-use essential oils and there are also a lot of dangerous essential oils out there. You can be sure to get the best results out of your essential oils by understanding every oil that you purchase and the quantity that you should be using.
Overusing Oils
If you were to look at one pound of peppermint oil then you’ll find that this contains over 256 pounds of peppermint leaves! If you had one pound of lavender oil then this would need 150 pounds of lavender in order to make this. Essential oils are very concentrated to say the least and for this reason you need to dilute them if you want to use them on your skin. You should never use undiluted oils on your skin but there are some exceptions to this.

If you want to use essential oils safely then you have to dilute them in a carrier oil like rosehip oil, argan oil, coconut oil, and almond oil. A couple of drops is all it takes in order for you to start experiencing the best result.
Photosensitivity
There are some oils that can make your skin more sensitive to the sun and this can give you a serious level of sunburn. This is even the case if you have a very small amount of exposure so before you go out to the beach or before you go out in the sun you do have to make sure that you don’t have any of the following essential oils on your skin:
These oils are completely safe to use but if you use them just before you are due to go out then they could cause you some serious problems. This is especially the case if you use them just before you go on the tanning bed. You may experience swelling, blistering that may cause scarring. These oils can be used in the bath and they can also be used in winter, autumn and spring, all you have to do is make sure that you don’t apply the oil to your skin directly before you are due to go out in the sun or in hot weather.
Dangerous Oils
Dangerous oils include wintergreen, sage, tarragon, birch and aniseed oils. You also need to look out for camphor, tansy, parsley and even wormwood. Women who are nursing should also avoid peppermint oil because it can reduce the milk supply.
