When you begin to see more and more loose hair in the bathroom sink and in your hair brush, your first reaction is denial. You couldn’t possibly be losing your hair! As the number of loose hair increases, it’s time to face the truth and fight back with a wonder-working oil called Argan oil. Argan oil is one of many other hair oils that can help stop hair loss, improve hair and scalp health and promote new hair growth for men and women. A simple treatment applied three times per week can help you see fewer hairs in the sink and more on your head.
Exfoliate Scalp
Before applying Argan oil, the scalp needs to be exfoliated to unblock each hair follicle and allow the oil to penetrate deeply and do its job. Use an exfoliating product specifically formulated for the scalp that will unclog each hair follicle by removing the buildup of styling products, environmental pollution and excess sebum (natural oils secreted by glands in the scalp).
Follow the manufacturer’s directions for exfoliating scalp, then shampoo and towel dry hair as normal.
Applying Argan Oil
Place a few drops of Argan oil on fingertips and massage it into scalp using a circular motion. Start at the front hairline and work your way across the head and down each side and back. Continue the oil massage for 15 minutes to help the Argan oil cover and penetrate the entire scalp and to stimulate blood flow to the scalp and hair follicles.
Repeat this treatment three times per week to stop the progression of hair loss and help new hair to re-grow. Style hair as normal after treatment.
Scalp Treatment
While you may not be experiencing hair loss as of yet, certain types of scalp conditions are precursors for hair loss and Argan oil treatment can treat those scalp conditions, thus preventing hair loss. Dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, dry scalp or seborrhea (excessively oily scalp) can all cause itchy, burning, flaky scalp and will ultimately clog hair follicles and contribute to hair loss.
Use Argan oil to treat these underlying scalp conditions and prevent hair loss. Start by exfoliating the scalp to unclog the hair follicles, shampoo and towel dry hair, then massage a few drop of Argan oil into the scalp for 10 minutes 2-3 times per week. Continue the scalp treatment until the scalp condition has cleared up, then massage a few drops of Argan oil into scalp once a week to maintain scalp and hair health.
