Scots pine is a conifer with evergreen foliage (needles), its height can reach 35 m. It belongs to the Pinaceae family. These pines love clay-sandy soils and can live for over 500 years. The pine has ovoid cones, male and female reproductive systems, present on the same individual. It is easily recognizable by the shine of its red bark.

Origin and history

Native to Scandinavia and Russia, Scots pine has been known for its medicinal properties since the Middle Ages. Its wood is commonly used in the construction of frames or furniture. It is from the buds or the resin that we extract the essential oil of pine.

Oral route:

2 drops of organic Scots pine essential oil, 2 times a day with a little honey, syrup or on a lozenge, for bronchitis, respiratory ailments.

On the skin :

2 drops of organic Scots pine essential oil + 4 drops of sesame vegetable oil, massaged on the chest to "clear" the respiratory tract.

In diffusion:

Used in atmospheric diffusion, Scots pine essential oil cleanses your rooms, fights against physical fatigue and acts as a respiratory antiseptic.
