Botanical Properties



Herbaceous perennial plant of the Zingiberaceae family.
Ginger grows in tropical Asia, more particularly in India.
The plant of less than a metre tall grows from a rhizome, from which the essential oil is extracted.
Its white and yellow flower, punctuated with pink, is lipped like the orchid; its leaf is long and fragrant.
Ginger is a tropical plant requiring sunshine and humidity.

Origin and history

Since Antiquity, ginger root has been used as a remedy in traditional Indian medicine.
In the Middle Ages it was considered to be an aphrodisiac and to have magical properties.
Ginger is used in numerous dishes in Japanese and Indian cuisine, it is an ingredient in spice blends, is consumed in pastries and certain drinks contain it.

Fresh ginger Organic essential oil is a gentle anti-inflammatory, analgesic, refreshing and revitalising.
It is relaxing, anti-depressive, stabilising and aphrodisiac

Indications

Ginger Organic essential oil can calm hyperventilation attacks or nervous spasms, premenstrual syndromes and stress.
It is very effective against constipation and to restore libido

Instructions

Consult a doctor before taking any treatment or therapy orally.
Oral administration: 1 or 2 drops in a teaspoon of olive oil before meals to treat constipation, to be stopped when the symptoms disappear.
Against nausea, 1 drop of Ginger Organic essential oil in a teaspoon of honey (or occasionally, in an emergency, pure on the tongue), the first dose in the morning, to be renewed 4 or 5 times a day.
On the skin, to treat difficult digestion: in massage, diluted in sesame vegetable oil, on the abdomen.
To stimulate libido in men, 3 drops in 10 drops of vegetable oil to be applied twice a day to the base of the vertebral column.
By diffusion: to calm stress
