Cardamom is a herbaceous plant with a rhizome, it belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. It is its fruit that is used as a spice, a green capsule containing aromatic seeds inside. Preferring hot and humid climates, cardamom grows between 900 and 1500 meters above sea level.

Origin and history

Originally from India, cardamom has been used for millennia in Ayurvedic medicine against disorders of the digestive system and as an essential ingredient in Indian or Asian cuisine. A magical plant, it was once used as an offering of purification and communication with the gods.

Indications

The essential oil of organic cardamom is indicated in disorders of the digestive system: aerophagia, colitis, spasm.

In local friction (diluted in vegetable oil), it will help fight nausea, bloating, stomach aches and diarrhea.

It will also be effective for the ENT system, it unclogs the airways taken, bronchitis and asthma.

Modes of use

Consult a physician before any therapeutic use or oral treatment.

Oral use: 2 drops of organic cardamom essential oil twice a day, with a little honey or on a lozenge to be placed under the tongue, at mealtime in case of digestive disorders.

On the skin: Mix 10 drops of organic cardamom essential oil with 30 drops of organic borage vegetable oil, rubbing against the fungal infections.

In diffusion: In atmospheric diffusion, essential oil of cardamom cleanses your rooms thanks to its powerful antibacterial properties.
